Clifftop Connections was a 2020 project that spoke to the people of West Dunbartonshire about dance to learn how to best run our intergenerational dance company in 2021 .

We were interested in how we could develop our practice in the locality of West Dunbartonshire that has the needs and wants of our neighbours at its heart. Clifftop Connections allowed us to develop both a physically distanced presence when necessary and a physically close practice when this is cleared by government guidelines.

Clifftop Connections consisted of:

Discounted and free Dance sessions for young people in bellsmyre

free intro to contemporary classes for young people in castlehill

intergenerational workshops with BSL interpretation

working with Mentors and collaborators

consultations with youth groups and older groups

attendance at social impact training

Clifftop Connections was funded by Creative Scotland’s Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development.

Foundation Scotland Funded Community Dance Sessions

From August - December 2020 Lottie delivered zoom dance classes with different community groups throughout West Dunbartonshire working on themes of togetherness and connection across physical distance.
